INTERFAITH WORSHIP EXPERIENCE -- EXPLORING DIVERSE FAITH AND SPIRITUAL TRADITIONS: “Blessings of the Mother”
with Suzanna McCarthy.
In ancient times, people used rituals and fervent spiritual practices to evoke the Blessings of The Mother - blessings for abundant crops, for protection from forces beyond their control and for reassurance that a new day would dawn. As cultures became more "sophisticated", ancient ways were seen as superstitious or even childlike.
We live in chaotic and unpredictable times, times that cry out for the Blessings of The Mother. She knows the possibilities and trials before us. Admittedly, The Mother needs Us to help heal the Earth and raise levels of consciousness for humankind. Additionally, We need The Mother for provision of our daily needs, for protections from forces beyond our control and for reassurance that a new day will dawn, a day of peace, justice and compassion toward all.
Join us for this service. Open your heart to receive the Blessings of The Mother.
About Suzanna McCarthy, LICSW: Suzanna offers workshops and retreats to those in transition, those longing for a centered and joy-filled life. A social worker and spiritual director, Suzanna integrates her knowledge of motivation and the process of change with mindfulness, creativity and the wisdom of the Divine Mother to bring about healing, wholeness and a sense of one’s unique life purpose.

INTERFAITH WORSHIP SERIES -- EXPLORING DIVERSE FAITH AND SPIRITUAL TRADITIONS: The Bahá'í Faith
[Presenter to be announced.]
The Bahá'í Faith is the youngest of the world's independent religions.
Its founder, Bahá'u'lláh was born on November 12, 1817 and is regarded by Bahá'ís as the most recent in the line of Messengers of God that stretches back beyond recorded time and that includes Abraham, Moses, Buddha, Krishna, Zoroaster, Christ and Muhammad.
The central theme of Bahá'u'lláh's message is that humanity is one single race and that the
day has come for its unification in one global society. God, Bahá'u'lláh said, has set in motion historical forces that are breaking down traditional barriers of race, class, creed, and nation and that will, in time, give birth to a universal civilization. The principal challenge facing the peoples of the earth is to accept the fact of their oneness and to assist the processes of unification.
